My business is dedicated to creating bespoke furniture and architectural joinery & cabinetry that honours these standards—designed intentionally for the spaces they inhabit and the people who live in them.
I began my journey in furniture making at the age of 15 through a traditional apprenticeship, where I developed a deep understanding of classical craftsmanship, precision, and structural integrity. Those early years laid the foundation for an approach that continues to define my work today. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with respected companies in New Zealand and internationally, including Davies Furniture and Modern Age Joinery in Christchurch, Parker Ferguson in Wellington, Heal's Furniture in London, and Fritz Hansen in Denmark. Each experience broadened my knowledge of fine furniture, joinery, design, and craftsmanship while reinforcing the importance of quality, attention to detail, and enduring design. Today, through Oak & Bespoke, I work closely with private clients, architects, and interior designers to design and handcraft furniture that is tailored to each client's vision. Every commission is a collaborative journey—from the initial concept and sketches through to detailed drawings and meticulous hand-finishing—resulting in timeless, one-of-a-kind pieces that are made to be lived with and enjoyed for generations.
